Raising the Bar: Why We’ve Joined the UK Fire Association to Lead the Way in Electrical & Fire Safety

UK Fire Association Logo

We’re excited to share a major development in our journey toward advancing safety standards in the UK — we’ve officially joined the UK Fire Association (UK-FA).

In a time when fire risks are evolving with emerging technologies like lithium-ion batteries, solar installations, and complex waste management systems, we believe it’s more important than ever to stay connected, informed, and proactive.

That’s why we’ve chosen to become part of an organisation that exists to support, educate, and elevate businesses like ours.

What is the UK Fire Association?

Formed in 2009 by industry veterans Alan Price, Tom Law, and Alan Palmer, the UK Fire Association was created to serve the interests of small and medium-sized businesses in the fire safety sector.

With over 200 member companies today, it has become a powerful network of professionals delivering fire prevention, protection, and training services across the country.

More importantly, it’s a not-for-profit association — meaning it’s run by its members, for its members.

That spirit of collaboration and mutual support is something that aligns perfectly with our own values.

Why Now? Why Us?

For years, we’ve been focused on helping businesses remain compliant, safe, and fully protected when it comes to their electrical and fire safety responsibilities.

But in a changing world, staying current isn’t enough — we want to be ahead of the curve.

Joining the UK-FA is about more than logos and letters. It’s a strategic decision to:

  • Deepen our technical knowledge by accessing the latest standards, training, and insights
  • Contribute to industry conversations that shape policy, regulation, and best practice
  • Collaborate with trusted partners across the UK to deliver even more value to our clients

Whether it’s offering early fire detection systems for complex environments like waste transfer stations, or supporting our clients with RAMS, training, and compliance advice — we want to be known not just as service providers, but as leaders.

What Membership Means for Our Clients

As a UK-FA member, we now have access to:

  • Up-to-date technical bulletins, BSI standards at discounted rates, and industry whitepapers
  • A national network of approved specialists in extinguishers, alarms, risk assessments, and training
  • Professional development events, product training, and CPD opportunities
  • Representation via BAFE, the Fire Sector Federation, and BSI technical committees

This means our clients benefit from services that are more informed, better supported, and continuously improving — not just to meet standards, but to set them.

Leading the Way in Fire & Electrical Safety

Fire and electrical safety are no longer siloed concerns.

They are interlinked, especially in environments with high energy use, battery storage, or automated systems.

Our goal is to bridge that gap — ensuring every client gets a joined-up approach that protects people, property, and reputation.

Our membership of the UK Fire Association is another step toward that goal. It gives us a voice, a platform, and a professional community to grow with — and one we’re proud to contribute to.

Looking Ahead

We’re not just here to meet today’s challenges — we’re here to help shape tomorrow’s standards.

Whether it’s through sharing knowledge, mentoring others, or feeding insights back to regulators, we see this membership as the start of something bigger. And we’re excited to bring that energy, commitment, and leadership to every project we’re part of.

If you’re a business looking for a trusted partner in electrical and fire safety — one that’s connected, informed, and truly committed — we’d love to hear from you.

Together, let’s raise the bar for safety in the UK.
